Welcome Father Nelson! New Headmaster

We are excited to announce our new Headmaster at Devon Prep, Father Nelson Henao. He started the year strong and is hard at work with endless enthusiasm!

A little about Father Nelson:
2020 – 2023 he served as the Director at St. Joachim Academy, in Adjuntas Puerto Rico, where he oversaw there 155 students from grades K-12.

2018 – 2020 Father spent two years at Devon Prep teaching Religion and was the Rector of the Piarist Community

2008 – 2011 was Father Nelson’s first term at Devon Prep, where he was the Treasurer of the Piarist Community.

On 6/12/2009 he was ordained as a Deacon. And officially ordained as a Piarist Priest while here at Devon on 3/27/2010 – at St. Norbet Parish.

Originally from Columbia, he is the oldest of 5 and has 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Father Nelson is the 7th Headmaster in Devon Prep history.
