Fall Theater Production hosted at Hedgerow Theatre!

The Devon Prep Theater program hosted the Fall Show at Hedgerow Theatre in Media, PA. They put on a production of Peter and the Star Catcher, which tells the origin story of Peter Pan. The style of this show was storyteller theatre, so the students were challenged to engage the audience using words and actions to reveal the elements and images of the story. They had to encourage the listeners imagination in many of the scenes. Storyteller theater often relies on minimal props and sets, placing a heavy burden on the audience’s imagination. The challenge lies in engaging the audience’s creativity to fill in the gaps and visualize the story as it unfolds. The students did a great job learning this style and had audiences entertained all weekend! Congrats to the Cast and Crew!!!
