Dr. Scott Swope brings over 14 years of expertise to the Devon Prep community as an American History and Social Studies educator. Driven by a passion for history and a genuine excitement for the classroom, Dr. Swope is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment for his students.

He holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Virginia, with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. His academic background also includes a Master’s in Educational Leadership from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor’s in History and Secondary Education from Albright College. Dr. Swope is dual-certified in Pennsylvania for Social Studies (7–12) and K–12 Administration.

Outside of the classroom, Dr. Swope is a devoted husband and father to three young children. Roll Tide!
