Dr. Robin MacDonald

Robin MacDonald joined the Devon Faculty in 2017.  With over 40 years of experience, Robin particularly enjoys teaching boys and helping them realize their potential and explore the world. Many of her students have either studied or worked in Germany after their high school experience.  As a Fulbright scholar, Robin has been delighted to see some of her students receive a Fulbright or the German equivalent, the DAAD.  Robin earned her DML from Middlebury College, MA from Villanova University, and BA from Houghton College.   Villanova inducted her into their Phi Beta Kappa chapter.

Robin loves to travel and study abroad. Other study experiences include courses in Bremen, Rostock, Berlin, Weimar,  Munich, St, Petersburg, and most extensively at the University of Vienna. During the Cold War, Robin spent 3 summers studying and traveling behind the Iron Curtain. Robin has taught a wide variety of students, ranging from sixth grade through college. In addition to teaching German, Robin is the moderator for the Calasanctian, Devon´s yearbook.  Her hobbies include hiking, reading, foreign films and classical music.
