Cassandra comes to Devon Prep after working ten years in corporate marketing
and public relations. A lover of learning and an academic at heart, Cassandra
made the switch to Social Studies education after a successful career in public
affairs, consumer and sports communications. As a double-major in Political
Science and Communications, Cassandra earned her Bachelor’s degree from
Boston College. She then migrated further south down the eastern seaboard to
earn her M.S. Ed from Saint Joseph’s University, from which she gained both her
PA and NJ Certifications (Level I) in Social Studies for grades 7-12. She is
currently working towards her PA and NJ Certifications in Psychology. For the
2025-2026 school year, Cassandra is teaching AP Psychology, American History
and Intro to Marketing & Management, the latter of which will draw upon her
decade-long corporate career. This is Cassandra’s first year at Devon, and she is
incredibly excited to learn alongside her students and become a part of the
community. Outside of the classroom, Cassandra spends as much time as she
can with family and considers herself a foodie. She loves cooking, checking out
the latest restaurants in the Philadelphia area, and traveling. When traveling, her
preferred destinations are those with a combination of vibrant culture, exotic
foods, ancient history and access to the beach. Her favorite place in the world is
Greece.
