Students learn in a variety of ways. Experience can, at times, be the best teacher. At Devon Prep, each class takes a required field education trip. These trips take students to areas of the United States which have cultural, historical, or scientific significance. The trips combine an educational experience with opportunities to work with other students in a community experience. The trips become a Retreat to many students and provide individual spiritual awakening. Sixth Graders travel to New York City. Seventh Graders visit Washington D.C. The Eighth Grade go to Boston. The Ninth Graders travel to Gettysburg and Baltimore and the Tenth Graders visit Virginia. All trips are chaperoned by several faculty members and the students travel by chartered bus.
