Emily Mulholland has been a math teacher at Devon Prep for the last 5 years teaching the AP Calculus and AP Statistics classes. She is passionate about making advanced mathematics feel accessible to students and employs student-center cooperative learning strategies in her course such as the flipped classroom model. Emily received her Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Theater Arts at Arcadia University and her Master in Secondary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to working at Devon, she taught in the Philadelphia School District and also as a project manager and trainer for Apple. In addition to teaching all of the AP math classes, she is the moderator of Devon’s Varsity Mathletes team which has placed in the top three at the Archdiocese Championships for the last three years in a row. She also moderates Board Game club and coaches Squash. She currently lives in Media with her husband, Kevin (class of ‘02) and her cat, Bonnie.
