Lacrosse

Devon Prep and Delaware County Christian School joined forces in 2012 to field a combined Lacrosse Team. “Team 21” DP/DC practices on Delco Christian’s elementary school campus. Many of the team members also play together in an indoor league at YSC in the winter.

The squad competes as an independent team, not affiliated with the BAL conference. According to the coaches the team not only looks for victory but also for success, hoping to play to the best of their ability and as one.

This season:

Devon Prep will continue its strong relationship with Delaware County Christian this year in the Varsity and JV Co-op program. The team will look to feed off their first season of qualifying for the District 1 AA tournament last year. The program will be playing in their final season as a independent school for District 1, before joining the Philadelphia Catholic League in 2018-2019.

Expectations:

The coaching staff’s visions for every student athlete on the team is to balance success in the classroom and on the field – both by setting their goals at the highest level. Building character, responsibility, and discipline is what the program strives for every season among each individual on the team. The players will continue to play for the man next to him, not for himself during every practice, every game. Our culture represents sportsmanship, spirituality, and a very competitive attitude throughout the entire season.
