Devon Prep SPRING TIDE 2008 Raises Over $100,000
Devon Prep’s Parents’ Association raised over $100,000 with Spring TIDE 2008 dinner/dance and auction on Saturday, March 15. Three hundred parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Devon Prep were in attendance. This year’s theme was “Devon Prep - The Eighth Wonder of Our World.”
The evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction in Calasanctius Hall. At 8 PM the event moved to the athletic facility for dinner, dancing and the live auction.
Among this year’s auction items were cruises, trips, vacation homes, sporting event tickets, music and theater tickets, golf packages, jewelry, restaurants, hotels, collectibles, college gear, theme baskets and Devon Prep memorabilia.
In keeping with this year’s theme the food had an international flavor and was catered by the following local restaurants and caterers: Lotus Inn, Ristorante Primavera, Mesa Mexican Grill, and Kathy's Just Desserts, Inc. Devon Prep students worked as servers throughout the evening helping with appetizers, dinner and refreshments.
Proceeds from Spring TIDE 2008 will benefit Devon Prep’s Wish List, which includes: technology upgrades, bleachers and a new sprinkler system on the athletic fields, and upgrades to the security system.
