Our 20-acre campus features eight buildings, two soccer fields, and a baseball field. The school is situated on the estate once owned by Philadelphia publisher Dr. Charles M. Lea.
The “old building” or “mansion” built in 1913 houses the Headmaster’s Office, the Business Office, the College Guidance Office and other administrative offices on the second floor. Calasanctius Hall also houses the Art Center, Alumni Center and Admissions Office. A large first floor hall has hosted presentations, concerts, school plays, and receptions. Several Piarist Fathers live on the third floor.
Built in 1961, and renovated in 2017, the state of the art main building includes classrooms, Biology, Physics, and Computer Labs, an Oratory, Campus Store, Personal Guidance Office and Health Center. Both Middle School and Upper School classes take place in this building.
A full-sized basketball court hosts exciting home games for our Middle School CYO team and our Upper School JV and Varsity teams. Weekdays after school feature intramural games. A large stage makes our gym an excellent all-purpose auditorium for student assemblies, theatrical performances, guest speakers, or weekly school wide Mass. A major addition to the Athletic Facility was completed in 1999, adding additional locker room space, Coach’s Room, and weight-training equipment.
Baseball / Soccer Field
Improved in 2017, our athletic fields are capable of hosting two simultaneous soccer games, or a baseball game.
Once the place where wagons were repaired, this building has been converted into a Chemistry Lab on the first floor, and a Music Center on the second floor.
St. Mary Chapel
Formerly a stable, this is now the School Chapel seating over 100 comfortably. We use the chapel for masses and smaller gatherings.
St. Anthony Hall
Devon Prep’s newest building holds six classrooms, a science lab, library/media center, and computer center. The new library is wireless and every classroom has internet capabilities and new interactive whiteboards. The Computer Center features an interactive whiteboard, digital projector, and 24 PCs all with LCD monitors.
