The Admissions Process
The Admissions Office carefully reviews each candidate's application in order to render a decision representing the best interests of both the student and the school. Each candidate must submit a completed application form, and arrange for officials at the current school to send an official copy of the candidate's transcript, as well as a letter of recommendation commenting on the candidate's overall character and academic ability. In addition, we will review each candidate's scores from our entrance exam, which is offered several times throughout the school year. Although an interview is not required, we strongly recommend a visit to our school including an interview with the Director of Admissions.
Each year, Devon Prep Awards scholarships to new sixth graders for their Middle School years and ninth graders for their Upper School years who have demonstrated academic achievement and who display potential for continued success. Top scorers on designated Entrance Exams will be notified of their eligibility to win scholarships. Scholarship candidates will be required to visit campus for a scholarship interview, and will be given a deadline for completing their application files.
