Four Devon Prep Seniors Named Finalists
In National Merit Scholarship Program

Four Devon Prep seniors were named Finalists in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are Patrick Mannion, Kevin Mucchetti, Mark Rafferty and Walter Snook.

These young men are among 15,000 Finalists across the United States eligible to win one of the 8,200 available Merit Scholarships.

In addition to being a National Merit Finalists these four young men are also Distinguished Honor students as well as AP Scholars. Mannion is an AP Scholar with Distinction as well as a National Scholar. Rafferty is also an AP Scholar with Distinction, and Snook and Mucchetti are AP Scholars with Honor.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition for recognition and scholarships that is open to all US high school students who meet published entry requirements. More than 1.4 million students in over 21,000 U.S. high schools entered the 2009 National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.  Devon Prep’s four Finalists were among the highest-scoring entrants in Pennsylvania.
