Rev. Nelson Henao, Sch.P. Celebrates
First Mass at Devon Prep
Rev. Nelson Henao, Sch.P. celebrated his First Mass as a newly ordained Piarist Father on Sunday, March 28 in Devon Prep’s gym for over 200 parents, students, alumni and other guests. Several students and faculty participated in the Mass.
During one of the most touching moments of Fr. Nelson’s First Mass was when presented his young nephew, Matias, with his First Communion. Matias, who had been preparing to receive his First Communion at home in Bogota, Columbia, had traveled to Devon with his family to attend Fr. Nelson’s Ordination.
Following the Mass, Devon Prep’s Student Council hosted a barbeque picnic to celebrate and congratulate Fr. Nelson’s achievement.
